Miracles, Day Three

This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24

Lord, bless us, protect us, guide us, take over our life and correct us, please give us Your eyes. Lord, replenish us, enlighten us, humble us, fill us up with Your wisdom, please give us Your heart. Lord, encourage us, cover us, stretch us, help us and forgive us, You gave us Your life. Thank You Lord. Amen.

May this day be like an awesome pie, covered in awesomesauce, with a side of awesome a-la mode!

Miracles, Day Two

A women in the Philippines, a missionary named Pamela, is pregnant. She is joyful that she is carrying another child. She is no stranger to the miracle of childbirth, this will be her fifth. She is praying that this pregnancy will be a simple and uneventful one. A long nine months of the usual challenges, and then a healthy new born baby. But things may not go the way we want them to all the time.

Miracles, Day One

Miracle? I can't believe it! But it's a miracle, I can't explain it! I said a prayer, with hope, in faith... and, and. It's a miracle, just believe it!

What is a miracle anyway?

All Things New

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away, and look, new things have come." 2 Corinthians 5:17

The new year is here, hooray! That being said, what are we going to do with it?  How about embracing the fact that we are a new creation when we place our trust and faith in Jesus! Will we forgive others for things which have happened in the past and ask others to forgive us as well? Let us continue in faith, encouraging our brothers and sisters, study Scripture and share the gospel of Jesus with people we meet or already know. How about helping out on a mission, locally or in some distant land, by giving financially, physically, or offering prayer for those which are working in the field? (Maybe do something for the 'Not in my City' campaign!) I hope these and many other great and wonderful things will be done by the power of the Holy Spirit which dwells within us, guides us, and gives us the strength to continue being the very hands and feet of our most amazing, awesome and loving God.

An Ugly Christmas, Day Four

To wrap up this series of e-votionals based on "An Ugly Christmas" it seemed like a good idea to really drive the point home about Christ being the redemption of all things which are less than perfect (Ephesians 1:7).

We know that only God is perfect, only His works are good, only His Spirit and His Son, Jesus, are perfection (Deuteronomy 3:24, Mark 10:18, 1 John 3:5). Of course we know that there are many things which really are quite lovely (Psalm 19:1, Ecclesiastes 3:11).
