Guarding The Gospel
As Paul neared the end of his life, writing from a prison cell, his final letter wasn’t one of defeat, it was one of legacy. In 2 Timothy, we see a mentor passing the torch to his young protégé, urging him to stay rooted in truth and to protect the message of Jesus Christ, the promised Messiah who conquered death and brought new life to all who believe.
Paul knew the church was drifting, that false teachings were pulling people away from the Gospel. So he reminded Timothy, and us, to “hold fast” to sound teaching, to let Scripture shape us, and to live unashamed of the message that changes everything. This series reminds us that faith isn’t inherited—it’s entrusted. And we are called to protect what’s been given.
